Topochromie / 2025
This single-channel video is created through a feedback loop between a digital camera, a projector, and a fluorite rock. The projector’s RGB light diffracts through the mineral, producing shifting gradients that reveal the in-between tones of digital imagery. Fluorite appears both as optical medium and as a mined material, linking the image to the geologic substrates that make it possible. The work reflects on the underground and the ethics of extraction, how land, minerals, and technology converge to shape what and how we see.
